On the podcast today we explore a big 'what if' kind of scenario that is unless it is happening to your town now or in the near future. What if where you lived went from 100 people to over 700 people in a very short amount of time?
As we examine our own response we'll touch on some of the survival reality check issues. But more importantly we will cover who you would BE if this were happening to YOU. This is real, it is happening, and to see it for your self, just scroll down a bit.
Survival is happening now - who will you be?
Here is a brief look at the town of Sumte, Germany and their preparations:
In the podcast we ask some of the questions below, but this is a moment you can take to really consider what is happening in this world. You as one person or even a small group can't control the events. What you can control is who you will be before, during, and after this time in our world.
If we don't really think about this, we won't be prepared and will just get swept away by the choices and decisions of others.
Questions to consider:
Who is the 'they' that should be responsible for any crisis and its management? Why do we assume or expect that anyone else IS responsible for us?
What is our role/responsibility in the day to day of our own or someone else in for survival?
Short term vs. long term - crisis doesn't allow for planning, it is reacting. What would you do if you were in charge?
Nature in a moment destroys entire systems of life. In many western nations they have not had to deal with this kind of mass crisis in Europe since WWII. Which continent do you live in? What is your country doing and is it really able to say no to everything?
What is a real fear vs. an imagined fear vs. and when do you need to pay attention?
How do you say 'no' when the person is standing in front of you and 1000's of miles from their home?
Fair, Justice, Equality, are not part of the reality - why do we resist knowing and accepting this?
Is racism only valid when the other doesn't agree with you or your identity?
When do you fight, when do you walk away, when do you just give in?
What are your bottom line issues in your own quality of life or the rules you want to live by?
Are we allowed to say no any more?
Why are the few able to control the many? When will the many then turn and control the few?
Migration has always occurred, but things are different in today's world. We've become absent from the reality of what it takes to truly survive and with that are the kind of consequences being experienced. It is creating a harsh reality that is shocking to most - things only read about or watched in a movie.
The only place of power and strength in which you can stand is WHO YOU WILL BE. If you DO (take action) first, you might not want to be a part of the consequences of that decision.
The article linked below gives you a brief glimpse into what is happening and to whom in this tiny German town. The pictures below show you the area.
The two videos below give you two different points of view. The first video is a good, practical view into what is happening. But is the calm, peaceful version. The second video has some harsh and shocking scenes for which most of us are not prepared to actually know what to do.
Germany without having any problems
Europe having a lot of problems
Something went wrong!
