As I write this to you first, it's been 24 hours so this is the official check in.
Now, on to today's work. The podcast is one of those over sharing moments that I have to make because WOW, it is one long, hard look in my mirror.
But I share to help illustrate the point, we all need to look in the mirror. What we see reflected is up to us. But first, we must have courage to look.
Below is the video from Mercedes Benz South Africa and Kevin Richardson aka The Lion Whisperer.
I also posted the USA version of this same car. US $119,000 - for the cheapest one!
I love that they spent their advertising dollars this way vs. the California Dream you will find below.
But make no mistake, the goal is the same - marketing you to buy who you want to be with this product vs. a product that will allow you to go and do what you want to do. Unless what you want to go and do drive the easy terrain. But if that were true, you wouldn't be here most likely....
Honestly, would you take a car that cost this much up and down crap roads to get pitted and dented and scraped every day, all year?
I am trying to picture the mud fest this winter here in such a picture perfect car....
Yup, that is all California - image is everything. Substance need not apply.
All judgment aside, the point is really WHAT are you committed to? I would LOVE a hard-core, all terrain, go anywhere and anytime vehicle that I totally trusted would never let me down plus be beautiful and comfortable.
But I also want one I can afford to buy, afford to fix, afford to insure, and most importantly afford to get stolen.
But at the end of the day - I love this life. One where I am dirty, working hard, totally unglamourous, devoid of any and all slow motion action shots and alone with the dog, cat, and cows.
I would love a new car that would help me live more of this life.
But what am I committed to? Getting a job I hate that will allow me to afford the car or living a life I love that asks me to drive a beat up truck?
Honestly, I Love old trucks so it isn't a fair question in the end!
Our day is almost up or ready to start and now for your work:
To Be List:
1. Who do you want to be today?
See you in 24 hours!
Something went wrong!
This site is run by a human, not an APP. It's hard showing up every day, but that is what it takes. I am so glad you are here! Jill
