Thursday, calm after the storm

As I write this I am SOOO looking forward to saying hello to you tomorrow morning.

Wind storming forces for over 36 hours has been one of the worst I've ever been through.

But with that said, I was just telling a friend - I would take this kind of nature induced hell over the kind I used to feel trying to live in a world in which all I wanted to do was die.

With that said, I am SO glad you are here!

Now, let's get down to business.  The podcast is below for today:



Now is the moment to take a Breath Before we go on:

If the above is new to you here are the four steps after you BREATHE:

1.  Stop.  Just stop, let go of the past, future and be, here, now.
2. Decide.  The question is "do you want to live or die?" Yes, that is the question.
3. Focus.  What one thing do you want today to focus on. Decide and then own it.
4. Drive.  Fuel is the other way to think of this step.  What will you use? Fear or Love?

Now, take another Breath.

In times of great crisis, sometimes the best we can do is just hang on and not die for that day.

On events like the one I am still in, the best I can do is the best I can do.  It isn't productive.  Right now though I am NOT being destructive.

Get that?  Doing nothing or going back to neutral is often better than making things a WHOLE lot worse...

Everything will be different in 24 hours.

Change only happens when we commit to doing that one thing every single day.

It is a simple formula.  Memorize it.  Return here every day when you are ready or if you need it.

That is why we are here.

Not to tell you if you should live or die or even why.  I am only sharing with you what I am doing, why, and the formula I use.  Get it?

Just show up.
Survival is what we do on the journey of discovering who we are in this world and beyond.


One More Big Secret to Life:

It doesn't matter what you believe, what system you follow, or who tells you what.  I've learned more about love from the dog than any human I have ever met.

The secret to life is this:  It is your life.  Decide who you want to be in it and the rest will follow accordingly from victim to hero.

That is it!

Now, on a personal note, it's been two days and nights with no real sleep. I am way past coping with any kind of stress, so I have taken off some time from my "should" list.  No self condemnation right now makes the discomfort of fatigue much easier.

For you?  Only you know what you feel right now and what you want to feel for the rest of the day.  It is your decision.  I think that is the hardest part, realizing you do have a choice, because almost no one ever teaches us that?

Ok, I just lied. I totally have a should list going in my head, but I am 'deferring' until such a time when I can think clearly - fair right?

And I am not becoming upset by the fact nothing much got done today but the absolute bare minimum.

For me too, the promise of tomorrow is that when I wake to read this I'll have gotten some sleep for a change.  I can't wait to find out, though I am betting you can!

That is it!  We are done for today.  Now you have the adventure to decide who you want to be for the next 24 hours.  Endless possibilities no matter what you have been told.  I believe in you, will you?
