Welcome back to you from your holiday! One more to go and then, it's a new year! First I want to send my thoughts and prayers to those who have been impacted this last weekend by the storms, tornadoes, fires, floods, and blizzards - it has been quite a few days of devastation. Secondly it is a good time to take a moment of appreciation for all you may still have right now. We got the blizzard version here in the center of New Mexico. I am still buried in snow and will share photo's below - it FINALLY stopped snowing and the sun is said to be coming out so a good time to document the next day of what was the last two... We'll also be covering more of the practical around that on the podcast. Just to make things more complicated, a baby cow was born the day before the storm. Unplanned - looks like someone got over the fence and then back again. It's too soon for the real calving season so it was a shock to say the least. But so far, he has survived with more pluck and spunk than anyone else around here! I've dubbed him "Punk" in honor of his adjectives. As usual, there have been lots or real life lessons learned such as just because you think you prepare for the storm/situation - don't be surprised if things don't go as planned. Learn to problem solve accordingly. But the main theme I want to cover in all of this is the one above, appreciation for all we do have. It is easy to feel burdened by despair until you see the photos of homes flattened by tornadoes or filled with the waters of rising floods. Never lose appreciation for your comforts my friends. With that I am going to sign off from this and start the hard work of post snow storm recovery. See you back tomorrow!
