Today is Martin Luther King day and in honor, I found this clip I wanted to play - it is in the podcast below: And also here in video format: And the words highlight the message for today: Focus on the process, not the end goal. The work itself is the reward. To be the best you need to BE - consistent, disciplined, focused, vigilant, and willing. That is the kind of you we are working on being while we are here. And, if this is you already, then pat your self on the back and take this time to just reinforce what you know you are and want to continue to be. Muscles require consistent effort to maintain even minimum standards. Our values, priorities, and character is the same. Effort that focuses and fuels us to keep going where we want to go and not get lost or too tired to keep traveling. But there is another message in all of this. WHY are you doing what you are doing? Who benefits, how and why? Fame and fortune may benefit the bold, but what are you doing with the fame and fortune? On their own, what does it really matter? The very core of the message we focus on is to VALUE LIFE. And we, each and every one of us, IS LIFE. If we don't value our selves and the other lives around us, what is the point? Temporary pleasure? Okay, but then what? It is just another Monday here on the Survival Road - who will you be today?
