It is still cold, snowing, hard, and difficult here in the center of New Mexico and even more so inside the tiny trailer.
Yet, this morning I felt a bit of joy bubble up like the first peak of a light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.
Though it yet may snow more today....
But then we have a one week reprieve, hear my happy dance!
And it occurred to me that even though I really don't like the experience of the last few weeks, at my core I am still happy. And then I ask, are you?
News tends to go with 'if it bleeds, it leads' and it seems most content is the same. The focus on the painful, the difficult, the dramatic is always more interesting....
when it is happening to someone else!
But what about your life? Which would you prefer? To be happy or to be in the middle of some great dramatic crisis?
It is easy to forget how good it is when life is good. Crisis and chaos are great reminders of this fact.
It is easy to get complacent in the midst of a good life and just focus on the fact you only have TWO kinds of ice-cream to choose from, not 31 flavors.
But how many people can honestly say that even in their worst moments, they are still at their core, happy with their life?
Yea, the moment may be BAD. But life itself is good.
I can't even think of one person as I write this that I truly believe is deeply happy. Wait, there is one older lady here who seems like she is but I've never really talked to her at that level.
We cover this all in more detail in the podcast, so hope you see you there! If not, I'll be back walking the Survival Road with you on Monday!
Something went wrong!
