Well, we are back from yet another couple of days of post blizzard challenges....
Which brought me to the question for today, do you want to just survive the old or are you ready to dig in and build the new - no matter what happens?
I share in the podcast some of what has gone on and more importantly, how to deal with all of it when you really don't want to....
There is no one system or way to cope, but life isn't about the right solution to the problem. Life is about being who you need to be to deal with any problem - yours or others.
This morning we also had a second new arrival at the cow farm. The calf was hiding and by luck I saw it half frozen and separate by a fence from its mother who was wandering around looking for it.
I rubbed it, gave it a blanket, and called for help.
This is way out of my area of expertise and with a life on the line not the right time to learn by trial and error.
It's been a few hours and while it is still alive, it still isn't very warm.
The man who came to help asked if my trailer was okay to put it in, I didn't want to tell him it isn't much warmer inside...
We hit below 10 degrees outside and so inside adjusted accordingly.
Overall it has been a hard storm to weather.
And I am coming to the decision this isn't really the life I can live - but what I offer to you today is to be willing to go out and 'fail' as the world may describe it to find the life you want and to become who you need to be in the meantime.
And the same is true for the world to become. What you vision the future 'should' be may not come to pass.
But the real purpose and meaning is found in who you become building it along the way.
It is not the easy road, the road anyone may believe you should/could/can take.
It is your road, so own your choice and go for it.
Then, be prepared to get things wrong, struggle, fail, fall down, get back up and keep on going.
You'll be glad you did.
With that this is the last podcast of 2015, so we will talk to you on the other side of the year!
Something went wrong!
This site is run by a human, not an APP. It's hard showing up every day, but that is what it takes. I am so glad you are here! Jill
